Wyoming residents who sent money to con artists using Western Union's wire transfer service between 2004 and January 19, 2017, can now apply for money from a $586 million dollar compensation fund.

That's according to a release from the Wyoming Attorney General Consumer Protection Unit. The fund was set up as part of a settlement between Western Union and all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia.

State residents who reported being victims of a scam using Western Union may get claim forms in the mail in the next two weeks. But you can also find out how to apply for a claim online or by calling 1-844-319-2124.

Claim forms need to be mailed back to the settlement administrator by February 12, 2018. The money is being administered by the U.S. Department of Justice's Victim Asset Recovery Program.
