Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced four defendants for methamphetamine and illegal alien crimes, according to the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Christine Renee Moffat, 39, of Casper for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. She received five years 10 months of imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $500 in community restitution.

The Casper Police Department and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation investigated this case.

In March, Moffat was indicted along with four other defendants in a methamphetamine conspiracy case and charged with distributing more than 500 grams -- 18 ounces -- of the drug. Three other defendants have pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing, according to federal court records.

Likewise, Moffat was arrested with four other defendants in March. Those co-defendants are different from those in the other indictment.

He received three years 10 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $900 in community restitution.
