The Wyoming Cowboys kept their winning streak alive Saturday night with a 52-28 victory over Utah State.

Wyoming (7-2, 2-0) took control early with touchdowns on their first two possessions. The Cowboys led 35-7, as they scored on five of seven drives in the first half.

It changed quickly when Utah State scored on three consecutive possessions. Wyoming punted twice after a pair of three-and-outs, and Josh Allen was intercepted. The Aggies pulled within 35-28.

The Cowboys responded with a key touchdown drive and scored the final 17 points of the game. Allen had a key 38-yard run that set-up his fourth TD pass of the game. That one went to tight end Jacob Hollister.

After a missed field goal by Utah State, Wyoming pulled away for their fifth straight victory.

Cowboys’ head coach Craig Bohl said it was a hard fought game and certainly had some adversity.

Wyoming heads on the road next Saturday to UNLV. Kick-off is at 1:30 p.m.
