About 5 seconds after I asked this question, I realized "smell" is the obvious answer. Not because I have some amazing insight, but because the first 4 posts all said the same thing. Makes sense, I suppose, although (as Wendy points out) losing your sense of smell would effect taste...

Regardless, I can see how that would be the bastard sense, if you were forced to lose one. Nothing worse than having a particularly nasty odor rape your nose when you're not ready.
