Relationships are never easy. And unfortunately, many of them lead to breakups. We all go through them. It can be a rough thing to deal with given the nature and length of the relationship. So how do we cope? Sometimes we turn to things that will comfort us. It can be something as simple as a particular comfort food. What would you think that breakup comfort food is for the Cowboy State?

While there are some that can only think to crawl into a corner and cry, you still have to eat, but of course, we would want our go-to snack or meal that makes us feel that much better at least. So what could it be, something filling like pizza or pasta? Maybe it's a sweet tooth craving like cake, ice cream, cookies, or candy. At least one of those is pretty common.

It turns out that candy tied for being the most popular breakup comfort food throughout the U.S. Five states picked it. What candy? That would take a lot more research to figure out. But we can tell you that the Midwest is pretty high on the idea of candy being their go-to after going through a breakup. Minnesota, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky all picked it.

The food that tied candy for being the most popular among the states was burgers. Our neighbors to the south in Colorado picked burgers, along with New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oregon. So when they go through breakups, they are typically getting some Five Guys on DoorDash most likely (that's an educated guess).

As for Wyoming, only one other state picked the same favorite breakup comfort food as us and that's our neighbors to the north in Montana. It seems that both of love...Chicken Noodle Soup. Really? It looks like we end up reaching for the Campbell's soup in the pantry...or other brands of Chicken Noodle Soup for that matter. Either way, not only does it help when you're sick, but also when you're down after a breakup apparently.

Cupcakes, donuts, grilled cheese, ice cream, milkshakes, pizza, tacos, and more were among other options. Personally, I'd probably go with tacos because there is never EVER a bad time to have tacos, but that's me. Hopefully you don't have to go through a breakup anytime soon but things happen. Be ready to have your Chicken Noodle Soup handy, Wyoming!
