Have you ever wondered what doctors talk about once the  anesthesia kicks in during surgery? According to a patient who filed a lawsuit in Virginia, you probably don't really want to know.

A colonoscopy patient in Virginia says he used his cellphone to record instructions given to him prior to surgery, and accidentally left it recording during the procedure. He says doctors mocked him relentlessly.

Here's a sampling of the doctors conversation:

  • Dr. Tiffany Ingham is heard saying to the unconscious patient: "And really, after five minutes of talking to you in pre-op I wanted to punch you in the face and man you up   a little bit."

  • Ingham also called him a "big wimp" and a "retard," joked about firing a gun up his rectum, and threatened to falsely note on his chart that he had hemorrhoids.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff (referred to as D.B.) was verbally brutalized and defamed by the doctors to whom he trusted with his life during the surgery. The complaint also states "has suffered distress, including embarrassment, loss of sleep, and mental anguish..."

D.B. is seeking $1 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages for defamation, infliction of emotional distress and illegally disclosure of his health records.
