WBJS Hosts Breast Cancer Benefit Open Jam On October 19th
The third Sunday of every month, the Wyoming Blues And Jazz Society hosts a free open jam at All That Jazz inside of the Parkway Plaza. This month, they celebrate "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" by hosting seven of Casper's bluesiest ladies, the TaTa7.
On Sunday, October 19th, Diane Gifford, Kathy Kirlin, Margaret Potter, Vicki Windle, Sonnie Rodenburg, Amy Gieske and Barb Atkinson will start the jam with an hour of female-infused blues, rock, soul, funk, and whatever genre you can think of.
After the ladies wrap up their set, anybody is welcome to jump on stage and rock out. While Blues is the primary style, any and all genres are appreciated. This is the perfect opportunity to rub elbows with fellow musicians, meet some potential jam partners, and just enjoy a Sunday evening with good music. Don't play? No worries - stop in, grab a tasty adult beverage, and enjoy watching your fellow Casperites do their thing!
The show starts at 4, open jam at 5, and things wrap up around 8pm. Donations will also be accepted for breast cancer and domestic violence awareness. For more information, visit the Facebook event page here.
