View The Eclipse At The Casper Events Center
Spectra by Comcast Spectacor, the providers of Venue Management to the Casper Events Center, and the City of Casper are inviting the community to gather on the front lawn of the Center for the Eclipse on Monday, August 21st, beginning at 8 a.m. to share this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Spectra will offer food and drink options from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Spectra is also offering free eclipse glasses to attendees.
Guests are welcome to make it a day of fun by bringing their own gas cooking grill (no open flames and no charcoal) and outdoor tailgating games.
Casper is in the path of totality, a 70-mile wide band running across the United States from Oregon to South Carolina. Only those lucky enough to be in the path of totality will get to experience a true total solar eclipse where the moon completely covers the sun, creating pure darkness during the day. Total eclipse observers should see the famed sun ring and the eclipse will last for approximately two and a half minutes.
Spectra's General Manager, Brad Murphy stated:
At Spectra we are focused on providing unforgettable moments for our guests. When a once-in-a-lifetime experience like the eclipse comes, we want to open our doors and share these moments with our community.
