If you're a real music lover, you have a chemical in your brain to thank for it. A new study published in the medical journal, Nature Neuroscience shows that dopamine in released to certain parts of your brain at specific times while you listen to music you already know and love. What's really cool is the study also shows that you get a dopamine rush 15 seconds before your favorite parts of a song or piece, and then more when that part actually comes up. You also get a dopamine rush when you're eating something really yummy and during sex...which in certain cases could be the same thing.
