I can guess what you are thinking.  "There is no way that this mountain range exists in real life."  Well,  this spectacle in China's Danxia Landform Geological Park really does exist, and no, I did not spike this article with hallucinogenic drugs.

Found in the Danxia Landform Geological Park in China, this vibrant mountain range is quite the extraordinary site.  How does something like this form?  Is this the landfill of all those little jars of colored sand we all made in school as children?  No.  The mountains are layers of different colored minerals and sandstone that were pressed together over 24 million years and then heaved up by tectonic plates.  Thousands of years of rain and wind have shaped the formations into flowing valleys.

I imagine it would be truly breathtaking to see this painted landscape first hand.  Mother Nature can be quite the artist at times.
