Tornado

"My first tornado" wrote Laramie resident Mark Tozer in a Facebook post about four hour ago.

The storm could produce gusty winds -- there's a 2% chance of tornadoes in the Casper-area. Severe hail will be the size of a quarter or bigger in Central Wyoming.

The big threat is going to be the large hail. Sorry, daffodils.

Snownado's happen when the wind swirls and picks up snow

Wyoming is not known for its tornados, but that does not mean we don't get our fair share.

When news channels began to air footage of the tornado-ravaged communities in Western Kentucky, Lyndsay LaPointe and her husband did what most of did - they shook their heads, mourned for the lives lost, and wished that they could do something to help.

A couple of guys in Alabama may have driven right through a tornado.

Just before 3:20 p.m., a storm chaser reported seeing the tornado eight miles east of Guernsey.

The storm continued to track toward Midwest and Edgerton.

I think we can all agree that us Wyoming people have a unique way of responding to things. That definitely includes this cowboy who got a little too excited about seeing a tornado in front of his home. Make that WAY too excited about the twister he sees.

We have had a crazy summer this year as far as weather goes, from tornados to crazy lightning storms over the cowboy state. Thankfully we never had anything like this happen during our fun summer storms.
