Stabbing

The alleged stabbing took place in the 900 Block of Walnut Street.

Police are still investigating the incident and more details will be released.

The officer turned around and followed the suspect, who tried to get away.

The victim was taken to Wyoming Medical Center for treatment.

Peterson could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

The investigation revealed that the man had been stabbed in the 200 block of North Lennox.

Gesell says the victim tried to call 911, but Vasquez took his phone and smashed it and stole $500 from him before letting him go.

Police continue to investigate.
