Snowstorm

Being stuck home, people found out VERY interesting things.

To keep up and not have to work too hard do this.

Casper has seen some pretty big snowstorms in it's day. But nothing like Christmas Eve in 1982.

From October 16th to the 17th, in 1998, Casper got a whopping 18.7" of snow. This made the National Weather Service's list of TOP 25 snowstorms in our area since 1937.

Over the course of two days, Central Wyoming received around 8 to 16 inches of wet heavy snow. Here's a look at some of the pictures that you shared with us.

The chase in the snowstorm reached 100 mph.

WYDOT announced earlier Wednesday that I-80 was expected to remain closed overnight into Thursday.

Snow, possibly starting as rain, is expected to develop along the I-80 corridor across the state late Tuesday night toward dawn Wednesday.

Road conditions this weekend proved to be treacherous across most of the state.

Starting Thursday, October 12th, residents can place branches for collection on their October extra collection days.

Folks planning on heading outside in western Wyoming on Monday night and Tuesday should prepare for sharply colder temperatures and a significant shift to winter weather, especially over the higher mountains.

Some activities are cancelled, transportation schedules as usual.
