After five straight wins, P.O.D., ‘Higher’ soars into the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame. The song, which appears on the band’s latest album, ‘Murdered Love,’ took down some worthy opponents along the way.

A decade-plus after shouting out ‘The Fundamental Elements of Southtown,’ P.O.D. are offering another salute to their hometown with the San Diego-based new video for ‘Higher.’

More bands have been added to the lineup for the Gathering of the Juggalos 2012, which will be held Aug. 8-12 at Cave-in-Rock, Ill. P.O.D., Static-X, Mushroomhead and Hed PE are among the groups playing the festival. They join previously announced acts Fear Factory and Soulfly at this year’s event.

For the past few years, the return of P.O.D. was up in the air. Burned out by the industry and wanting to spend time with their families, the band took an indefinite hiatus. Now, much to the pleasure of fans around the globe, P.O.D. are set to return with ‘Murdered Love,’ their first disc in four years.
