We don't partake a lot of the Fat Tuesday celebration in Wyoming outside of a church pancake supper or a King cake being baked, but with Mardi Gras in full swing in the Big Easy, a picture could still be worth a thousand words.

The age-old, and often bawdy, form of entertainment, known as "burlesque," will be landing in Casper this weekend.

It seems like everybody is fired up for Mardi Gras.

As parades wind through the French Quarter and second lines form from Basin to Canal Street, it's as good a day as any to pay tribute to the arbiter of New Orleans music, the legendary Dr. John.
