The verdict marks the end of a five-day jury trial in Natrona County District Court.

Shakeel Kahn is charged with 21 counts in a 23-count indictment including conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and other drugs resulting in death.

The closing arguments will resume at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday

The case was then given to the jury shortly after noon Tuesday.

The trial of Tony Cercy on one count of third-degree sexual assault is scheduled for Nov. 9.

Natrona County District Attorney Mike Blonigen said neither Tony Cercy nor his attorneys can presume from the mistrial that the prosecution has no case for a retrial.

Tony Cercy was arrested on July 28 and charged with three counts of sexual assault.

The trial is now in its eighth day.

The prosecution and defense gave their closing arguments Wednesday morning before the judge handed the case to the jury.

Natrona County District Attorney Mike Blonigen said changing the trial venue wouldn't matter because the public about Tony Cercy's sex assault trial has been statewide.

The questionnaires will be returned to Natrona County District Court by the end of January.
