The infection can be life-threatening.

Health officials say hepatitis A can cause infection in the liver, and is primarily spread person-to-person through oral contact with contaminated items.

Some bad news out of the Slayer camp: Jeff Hanneman, guitarist and founding member of Slayer, was hospitalized late last month where he underwent emergency surgery on his right arm after contracting a serious infection, according to his bandmates Kerry King, Tom Araya, and Dave Lombardo.
