Ten days, a carnival that runs past midnight, free pancake breakfasts, and some of the biggest names in country music — Frontier Park is going to be busy this July.

It started as a way to pull a town out of hard economic times. Over a century later, Cheyenne Frontier Days is still going strong — and still drawing crowds.

On a new list of top capital cities, Cheyenne is #22 on the list. Frontier Days, museums and culture help secure the ranking.

The initial lineup of Cheyenne Frontier Days night shows came out in early December and we asked Wyoming voters which show they were most looking forward to.
