The smell of smoke wafted through the air late Friday night, as multiple agencies responded to reports of a structure fire in the 1200 block of South Forest Drive.
Yesterday the Evansville police department and firefighters were challenged to a dodgeball tournament at the Evansville Elementary School, and according to their Facebook page:
While it turned out to be 'Much Ado About Nothing,' Casper Fire-EMS responded to reports of smoke at the east side Walgreens, located at 190 SE Wyoming Boulevard.
Current and retired Casper firefighters gathered at Fire Station 2, located at 3900 S. Coffman, on Wednesday to unveil and dedicate their newest fire engine, Engine 2.
The release notes that no injuries were reported and that damage was limited to the detached garage. Casper Fire-EMS did state that the cause of the fire was due to the illegal burning of weeds.
It was the case of a dog being a dog and trying to chase geese. The result was an animal in distress in an ice-covered pond who fortunately was within reach for a hero Colorado firefighter.
Dan Stones could only imagine from a distance the fate of his family cabin due to the California wildfires, but was surprised to find it still standing with a note from the firefighters who saved it.
