Some distressing news out of the Dropkick Murphys camp came last night (Nov. 16) as Austin TV station KXAN reported a deadly accident involving the band’s tour bus.

Boston natives the Dropkick Murphys have always been closely associated with their hometown, and the band has used that connection to help raise $65,000 for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings and their relatives. The Murphys raised the loot in less than 15 hours by selling a Beantown-themed t-shirt through the merchandise section of their website.
You never know what you're going to get when you invite the crowd up onstage with you for a performance. What the Dropkick Murphys got during their recent set in New York was at least one audience member who made his way onstage and began performing the Hitler salute as the band rocked out a cover of AC/DC's 'T.N.T.'
Dropkick Murphys will release a new album on March 1st. "Going Out In Style" is the band's seventh full-length effort. The Irish-American rockers from Boston will head out on its St. Patrick's Day tour next month.
