Casper's summer is heating up, but not just from the sun—road construction is in full swing, and it’s going to shake things up around town.

The Casper Recreation Center will be closed next week, starting on Monday evening (May 12th, 2025), to upgrade their floors.

The closure order extends through April 3.

The company will file its final 2019 plan with state regulatory commissions by Oct. 18.

WYDOT announced earlier Wednesday that I-80 was expected to remain closed overnight into Thursday.

The NWS office in Cheyenne on Tuesday advised residents within their coverage area to cancel travel plans.

Walmart, the parent company of Sam’s Club, has announced the closing of 63 Sam’s Club stores nationwide. Luckily, none of these closures are in Wyoming.

The board of trustees will decide on the closures at its Oct. 23 meeting.
