The Beartrap Summer Festival, presented by Platte Hemp Company, marks 25+ years of music on Casper Mountain this summer with everything that’s kept crowds growing for a quarter-century: sunshine, mountain air, vendors, food and drink … and a great roster of musicians for this milestone celebration, August 6 and 7 in Beartrap Meadow on Casper Mountain.

It has now been two years since we have attended Beartrap, so I thought it was the perfect time to share a list of what you need to bring to Beartrap.

With a heavy heart, we at the Beartrap Summer Festival have made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 event, and look forward to an even bigger celebration with our festivarians next year, August 7th and 8th, 2021.

It's officially Beartrap weekend!

The Beartrap Summer Festival marks 25 years of music on the mountain this summer with everything that’s kept crowds growing for a quarter-century: sunshine, mountain air, vendors, food and drink … and a great roster of musicians for this milestone celebration, August 3 and 4 in Beartrap Meadow on Casper Mountain.

Headlining act the Roots & Boots tour featuring Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw, and Collin Raye had just taken the stage when a gentle rain began to fall. By about the fourth song of the set, the gentle rain turned into large hail.

The 2016 Beartrap Summer Festival is set for August 6th and 7th in Beartrap Meadow on Casper Mountain. This year’s line-up mixes some of the top names in Americana music, including Yonder Mountain String Band.

Here in Wyoming, we're lucky to live within driving distance of some legendary Colorado concert venues. As awesome as Red Rocks and the Mishiwaka Ampitheatre are, we have our fair share of decent venues too.
