A wanted Chicago, Illinois man is behind bars after he was reportedly found passed out behind the wheel at a Cheyenne motel.

A 32 year old Fort Washakie woman was sentenced to one year and a day in federal prison with three years of supervised release after allegedly hitting someone in the head with a hand-sized rock.

Two people have been arrested in connection with last August's deadly beating of a Cheyenne transient, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday afternoon.

While Harrington did not originally take responsibility for his actions, he has since done so in a letter to the judge.

"I've sentenced people to life in prison and I didn't blink an eye," stated Judge Josh Eames. "But these are the most difficult cases."

The victim was undergoing medical treatment as of Wednesday morning, Ladd said.

Torrington police and the Wyoming Department of Corrections are investigating.

Police gathered witness statements and viewed video evidence in the course of their investigation.

The victim told police that she did not lose consciousness, but her neck hurt from being choked.

The alleged victim attempted to defend herself before she lost consciousness.

Holland, who was driving the truck, said she had been drinking and should not have been driving.
