As we just reported, As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis is heading to prison for six years after being sentenced Friday (May 16) for his role in a murder-for-hire plot. Right after the sentencing was announced, AltPress.com published an extensive interview with the metal singer in which he talks about the case, his troubled marriage and his future in music.

As I Lay Dying members Jordan Mancino, Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso and Josh Gilbert have been teasing new music for some time now. Since vocalist Tim Lambesis pleaded guilty to murder-for-hire charges, the future of As I Lay Dying and its instrumental section was unsure, but the four musicians have just revealed the new project Wovenwar.

Earlier today (April 9), a statement was posted on the official website of As I Lay Dying. The lengthy post covered many subjects and seemed to be a well thought out, cooperative statement from the entire band. However, according to guitarist Nick Hipa, no member of As I Lay Dying's instrumental section, management or record label took part in crafting the update.

Right before the weekend, the instrumental section of AILD posted new audio snippets in videos revealed on the Instagram pages of each member.
