Everybody loves hump day, and these newscasters are hoping for a dry one.

Things got pretty awkward on a Colorado TV station this week during the morning weather report.

Have you ever said something, maybe asked someone a question, only to realize later that it may have sounded a little different than you intended? That certainly happened to the co-anchors on Channel Nine's Today morning show in Australia.

Kristi Capel, a newscaster at WJW-TV Fox 8 in Cleveland, is probably going to want this one back. On Monday while talking about Lady Gaga's performance at The Oscars, where she sang a musical medley tribute to "The Sound of Music," it seemed like Capel was trying to pay Lady Gaga a compliment. But she failed miserably.

During a silly happy-chat segment recently on a Los Angeles TV news broadcast, the anchors were watching a video of a woman swallowing a sword. They were marveling at how something like that was possible, like most people would do.

Mistakes happen when you record the news live. Most of the time it's no big deal, but sometimes something glorious happens.

Here's some advice for anyone who works in a field where microphones are used: Always assume the microphone is on and people can hear you. The reporter on this newscast didn't heed that advice and the results were devastating for one person.

This week seems to be a good week for bad words making it on to live television.
