A Cheyenne mother and her boyfriend are behind bars after police say they found the woman's 2-year-old son nearly beaten to death.

Nathan Sandoval was charged today with a felony of aggravated child abuse, which is punishable by up to twenty-five years imprisonment.

If convicted, he could face more than two decades behind bars.
