After waking up at 5:30 in the morning on Wednesday to broadcast my show, I was pretty sure I wouldn't last the day...especially considering we didn't even hit the sack until 4 hours earlier. After multiple cups of coffee, we were finally allowed into the Buffalo Chip campground to get set up. Once camp was ready, we hit the road to Sundance...taking the long way through Belle Fouche. It's a great ride, if you're looking to take some back roads and skip the interstate.

Arriving in Sundance around 12:30, it took a few moments to find Chuck Deluxe, the owner of Deluxe Harley Davidson Sundance (and Casper and Gillette as well). The town was packed, the Harley shop flooded, and Chuck was in the dunk tank, raising money for a local school. After finally setting up our equipment, we settled in for what would be one crazy afternoon.

Just an FYI, when attending a burnout, don't stand too close to the staging area. I left covered in melted rubber, and all my clothes are ruined. It was awesome!

We ended up taking a side trip to Devil's Tower, since it was only about 30 mile away. Both of these destinations are close to Sturgis, and provide great scenery and some killer roads. Aside from gas money, we only dropped $28 the whole day. It was a great afternoon, as you can tell from the photos...
