Wednesday's freezing fog and snow have made for slick roads around Cheyenne. Please remember to slow down and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued the following forecast at 4:32 a.m.

Areas of dense freezing fog will persist through mid morning between Cheyenne and Laramie, resulting in very slick conditions. Periods of snow will continue through tonight. Snow will increase in intensity over eastern Wyoming and the northern Nebraska Panhandle this afternoon and evening. Another two to five inches may fall over these areas by late tonight. An inch or less of snow is expected elsewhere. The main impacts for travelers across the plains of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle will be very slick and snow-covered roadways. Always check www.wyoroad.info or www.511.nebraska.gov for road conditions and travel alerts before you travel. Allow extra time to reach your destination.
