If you don't want to be sitting up late at night with the lights on, jumping at every little sound you hear, for the next four nights, you probably should stop reading now. The following story involves a giant snake, a crocodile, an epic battle and one of the critters devouring the other.

Ready for this? This is your last chance to turn back . . . OK, so BBC News is reporting that a huge fight took place in Queensland, Australia, in a lake yesterday. It involved a 10-foot snake, most likely a python, and a crocodile.

Apparently, the skirmish lasted a while (five hours, according to one spectator), as local residents took pictures. Eventually, the snake wrapped itself around the crocodile, strangled it and then dragged it to shore where it -- no, really, are you ready for this? -- ate the crocodile.

Poop your pants yet? No? Then maybe these photos will help get you there. Seriously, is there anything more terrifying happening around the planet today? Probably not.

The local who shot the photos told the BBC, "The fight began in the water -- the crocodile was trying to hold its head out of the water at one time, and the snake was constricting it. After the crocodile had died, the snake uncoiled itself, came around to the front and started to eat the crocodile, face-first."

" . . . started to eat the crocodile, face-first . . ."

Feel free to hit us up for a late-night chat (or to console us through our nightmare-fueled tears), since we won't be sleeping or anything like that for the next few nights.
