10 Rock + Metal Tours From 2002 We Wish We Could See Now
The year 2002 was quite significant. For instance, former POTUS George W. Bush signed the No Child Left Behind Act into law; Congress authorized the Iraq Resolution; and many key films, TV shows and video games – such as Spider-Man, Jackass: The Movie, The Osbournes, The Wire, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Metroid Prime – released.
Obviously, music was also a crucial part of the zeitgeist, as hip-hop, nü-metal, alternative rock, pop punk and a mix of R&B and dance-pop (from solo artists, girl groups and boy bands) dominated the charts. Some of these artists even put out major albums: Sum 41’s Does This Look Infected?, Eminem’s The Eminem Show, Killswitch Engage’s Alive or Just Breathing, Good Charlotte’s The Young and the Hopeless, etc.
Naturally, this led to dozens of awesome concert packages that we’d love to revisit. In particular, the following 10 tours were quite enticing and special, so thinking of them now gives us tons of nostalgia. They may be from a bygone era, but they’d still be amazing to see today.
