Ren And Stimpy Snubbed Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain wrote a song for the cartoon "Ren & Stimpy," but the producers threw it in the trash. Voice actor Billy West, who did the voice of Stimpy (and later Ren too), revealed in a Nerdist.com podcast that one day this scraggly kid wandered into the offices of Spumco, said he was a "Ren & Stimpy" fan and offered up a song for the show. This was before Nirvana conquered the world, so no one knew who Kurt was.
