Dec. 8, 2014 marks the 10th anniversary of Pantera / Damageplan guitarist ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott‘s tragic death. In remembrance of the guitar phenom, we’ve spoken to rock and metal’s greatest musicians to gather stories and testimonies of admiration towards the immortal shredder.

In the video above, Hellyeah frontman Chad Gray and guitarist Tom Maxwell reflect on Dime. They have a unique perspective, as they are both in a band with Dimebag's brother and longtime Pantera bandmate, Vinnie Paul.

Maxwell speaks about his first time touring with Pantera as a member of Nothingface and how Dimebag graciously shared his time and talent in teaching him one of his signature riffs. As for Gray, he recalls his first time ever seeing Pantera play live and shares that experience. "They left a mark. They touched somebody's soul with what they did," says Gray. "And they forever changed my life."

Hear what both guys have to say in the video above and stay tuned for more 'Dimebag' Darrell memories, coming from now until Dec. 8.
