Queen Elizabeth Visits the Iron Throne at the ‘Game of Thrones’ Belfast Studio
For those hoping Queen Elizabeth would one day sit on the Iron Throne, we're gonna spoil you now and say not at the moment. But she did visit the 'Game of Thrones' studio in Belfast, Ireland, for a meet and greet with some of the cast and crew of HBO's hit fantasy drama, and to glare at the famous seat of Westeros.
Wouldn't it be perfect if the Queen is just as into 'Game of Thrones' as the rest of us and she was just living out her dream of seeing the Iron Throne in person? All we know, however, is that she was already in Belfast on Tuesday and made a trip to the studio, where she had her own tour around some of the props and sets from the show.
Prince Philip was on hand, while present from the series were actors Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), and show creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss. Oh, and this picture is everything:
We've included video of her visit below (via Sky News), though we skipped ahead for yah to the Queen's arrival.
