Brad Diller, who has worked as principal of Kelly Walsh High School for over two decades, will retire at the end of the school year.

"Principal Diller has had a positive and profound effect on the education of thousands of students over the course of his thirty-nine years with the Natrona County School District," spokeswoman Tanya Southerland said in a text message Thursday.

"His commitment to educational excellence for all students combined with his caring nature has made him a tremendous leader -- not only at Kelly Walsh High School but in the District and our community," Southerland continued.

Southerland has not commented on how the district will approach installing Diller's successor.

"His positive attitude, sense of humor and dedication to serving as a fair and quality leader will be missed by his colleagues at KWHS and all those who have grown under his tremendous leadership within the Natrona County School District," Southerland wrote. "We wish him the very best in his future retirement and we look forward to his continued and valuable leadership at KWHS throughout the academic year."
