Pearl Jam is gearing up for the release of ‘Lightning Bolt,’ their 10th studio album, with a new short film. The nine-minute piece was directed by famed photographer Danny Clinch and features interview clips with guests director Judd Apatow (‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin’), ‘Portlandia’ star and Wild Flag vocalist/guitarist Carrie Brownstein, former New Orleans Saints star Steve Gleason and surfing champion Mark Richards.
Titled 'Lightning Bolt, A Short Film,' it also includes animated sequences by Andy Smetanka, Pearl Jam performance clips and footage of singer Eddie Vedder driving around the group’s homebase of Seattle.
Arriving in stores on Oct. 14, ‘Lighting Bolt’ was produced by Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, the Killers), and is Pearl Jam’s first studio album since 2009’s ‘Backspacer.’
