“Paul’s Boutique” Burns Down
A musical landmark has burned down. The New York Post says the building immortalized on the cover of the Beastie Boys' 1989 album, "Paul's Boutique" caught on fire Thursday. The extent of the damage is not known. Years after the boutique closed, the store at 99 Rivington Street in Manhattan had different owners, but it's been a restaurant called The Three Monkeys for the last few years.
