There are a lot of different ways to catch a fish but I don't think I've ever seen anything so odd when it comes to catching a monster catfish. We generally do it with a pole here in Wyoming. Apparently, not how they do things in Oklahoma.

I was just searching the internet and came across this video on Digg.com and found this video of these guys describing what exactly 'noodling' was cause obviously, I had no idea what it was. Turns out it's a method of fishing that requires you to use your lower body and get bitten by a catfish a couple of times.

Not that I'm super terrified of a catfish biting me, but the bigger the catfish I feel like it could draw blood and if it does that I'm out. I would no longer be in my overalls sticking half my body in a dark hole just waiting for something to latch on!

Catfish do get really big in some areas and when they were talking about going for the Grandfather catfish which could weigh as much as 70-80lbs I thought they were crazy for even attempting something like that.

So the real question here is, are you brave enough to go noodling for some monster catfish? I know I'm not!
