Nothing More Sleepwave Tour Poster

It's been a breakout year for Nothing More and the band is keeping the momentum going by exclusively debuting their new 'Christ Copyright' lyric video here at Loudwire.

The track, which appears on their self-titled debut album, amps up the beats per minute, providing a full on sonic assault. And as you can guess by the intriguing song title, there's definitely a message to go along with the rock. Frontman Jonny Hawkins belts, "They're selling heaven tonight / Sign the dotted line / They got your Christ on copyright" as the chorus of the track, while later pushing the buttons of listeners by defiantly stating, "We are not machines."

"As a band, we get a sick feeling in our stomach, an ache in our head, and a pump of blood to our fists when we witness religious and political leaders telling people how to live, as if they have some kind of monopoly on the truth," says Hawkins about the track. "Many of these leaders hide behind a document, a book, or a creed to shelter their own insecurities about existence. This song is about how the truth is within us all, not in a man or in society.”

If you haven't seen Nothing More live yet, you're in for a treat. Check out our review and photo gallery of their recent New York City stop to see just how unique and energetic a Nothing More gig can be. Look for the band breaking out 'Christ Copyright' when they hit the road this summer for the 'We Are Not Machines' trek. They'll be joined by Sleepwave on the run, which kicks off Aug. 5 in Kansas City, Mo. The dates (seen below) run through Nothing More's Sept. 13 appearance at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif.

The festival will then serve as a springboard for their fall tour shows opening for Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat and Heallyeah. Dates for the fall trek can be found here.

Nothing More's self-titled album, featuring 'Christ Copyright' and 'This Is the Time (Ballast), can be purchased at Amazon and iTunes.
