She is proud to have taught approximately 3500 students at Kelly Walsh High School. Her work on the board led to such projects as:

providing in-house nurses to most elementary schools

=======================================
paying teachers for professional services at a professional rate

=============================================
support of innovative programs mostly driven by teachers

============================================
providing collaboration time for elementary teachers

============================================
working on making assessment more about the service of instruction more than a measure of school performance

============================================
a commitment to celebrating academic achievement as exemplified in the Academic Awards dinner.

Additionally, she has enjoyed her collaboration with superintendents, staff and other board members who shared her passion.

Her stepping down leaves a vacancy on the board.  Applications can be delivered to the Superintendent's office before 4:30 on April 22, 2016. The appointed trustee will serve the remainder of Trustee Horsch's term ending in November, 2016.
