The Natrona County Fire Protection District now provides the ability to apply and pay for burn permits online, according to news release.

This will give the residents living or working in rural Natrona County the ability to obtain a burn permit without coming to the Fire Protection District office, 555 N. Robertson Road.

Permit applications will be reviewed. If approved, the applicant will be notified within 72 hours and the permit will be valid.

These permits are for small piles of wood, weeds, leaves or other natural vegetation no larger than 6 feet in diameter and 6 feet high.

All other burns will require a special permit and may be subject to an on-site inspection by the Fire Protection District Fire Marshal or Fire Inspector.

The link to the online applications is available on the menu of the Fire Protection District website.
