Naive Tourist Recklessly Records Bear at Yellowstone [VIDEO]

VIDEO DESCRIPTION: The video (now removed from YouTube) was of a bear on the side of the road in Yellowstone. The kid who recorded the video was very close to the wild animal. You could see his feet on the curb and grass. The bear then climbed a near by tree while others recorded the same event.

I am dumbstruck watching this video. Does this guy know what a dangerous situation he is putting himself in? And the scary part is all the other tourists gathering beside the road doing the exact same thing.

I can understand the desire to get that great video or picture, but why don’t people understand that the wildlife in Yellowstone are WILD. Bears can run up to 35 miles-per-hour. This bear is only 10-20 feet away. That is a few steps away from having tourists for lunch. Just because you have an HD video camera on your phone, that doesn’t give you the right to use it all the time. Be smart. Be safe. Return home alive.
