MMA Fighter Taps Out While Crushing Opponent – You’ll Never Guess Why [VIDEO]

Maybe one of the Ms in MMA should stand for “mercy.”

Mike Pantangco was recently having his way with Jeremy Rasner in their amateur fight when Pantangco inexplicably tapped out.

As it turns out Pantangco was trying to do the right thing. He felt since neither fighter was getting paid, there was nothing to gain by continuing the beatdown:

The only thing I’m going to finish the fight is him to go in the hospital or get hurt. I just feel terribly so I’m just going to give him the win.”

Yup, it’s another case of sportsmanship under unlikely circumstances. It just goes to show that humanity definitely has a place in sports.
