On Sept. 27, Metallica played a special show at New York's Webster Hall in front of 1500 rabid fans. They have now released their performance of "For Whom The Bell Tolls" from the gig. The video also includes clips of interviews with fans who were at the show.

They played the show to promote their upcoming album Hardwired...To Self-Destruct, which will be released Nov. 18. The set was mostly classic material like "Master of Puppets," "One" and "Enter Sandman," but they also played the new song "Moth Into Flame" for the first time live.

Speaking of "Moth Into Flame," the band has released a nine-minute video about the creation of the track, which was originally called "Plow." The footage was filmed during the writing and recording of the song. Check it out below.

North American fans have been waiting a while for a full fledged Metallica tour, which should finally be coming next year. Bassist Robert Trujillo stated in a recent interview that "we will be touring the States next year; it’s just we’re still developing the production to bring it out there. We’ve done a few things here and there — we played in Minneapolis very recently and we played in San Francisco also fairly recently. So we’re juicing up the machine here. We’re getting there. People are just gonna have to be a little bit more patient with us."

Metallica do have some shows on their calendar, including the annual Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View, Calif. Oct. 22 and 23. They also have a short Latin America tour that kicks off Oct. 26 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In Feb. of 2017 they have four shows in Copenhagen, Denmark, and then they'll be in South America in late March and early April to headline Lollapalooza in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
