Matthew McConaughey Is No Longer the Eternal Bachelor, Thanks to Camila Alves

After five years and two kids, Matthew McConaughey is finally putting a ring on it. The ‘Fool’s Gold’ star, 42, announced on Christmas that he proposed to his longtime girlfriend, 28-year-old Brazilian model Camila Alves. Frankly, it’s about time.

“Just asked camila to marry me,” he wrote in a WhoSay post, including a photo of the couple kissing in front of a Christmas tree. “Merry Christmas.”

In a recent interview with Esquire, McConaughey said of Alves, “I found the woman… I wanna make a family with, hopefully live our life out together.”

The pair met in 2006 and have two children: son Levi, 3, and daughter Vida, who turns 2 in January.
