Legend of the Seagullmen are a long-running Florida collective that fuse music, performance art, 3-D film and more into their shows. Mastodon's Brent Hinds became involved a few years ago, and a couple of songs that include Hinds and Tool's Danny Carey have been released.

The tracks 'The Deep Sea Diver' and 'Ships Wreck' were produced by movie director Jimmy Hayward ('Horton Hears a Who,' 'Jonah Hex) and also reportedly include contributions from Dimitri Coats (OFF!/Burning Bride). The songs were available on the band's official website, but that site seems to be down right now. You can also check out the tracks at Consequence of Sound.

Legend of the Seagullmen were founded by brothers Frank, David and Chris Dreyer along with some friends. In a 2011 interview, Frank explains how Hinds came to be part of the project: "As a good friend of ours from Atlanta, Brent came with David to Cocoa Beach for some R&R a few years ago. He learned his true calling in life and is now a part of the Legend of the Seagullmen. His other bands — Mastodon, Fiend Without a Face, and West End Motel — are just excuses for him to travel the world and hunt for the Man O’ War Man."

Mastodon will be hitting the road in April with Clutch on 'The Missing Link Tour' in support of last year's album 'Once More 'Round the Sun.'
