Rock Springs police say officers found a man's body earlier this week, and foul play is not suspected in the death.

At about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers went to the Walmart in an attempt to locate a vehicle and fifth-wheel trailer. The previous day, the Carbon County Sheriff's Office had posted an "attempt to locate" on a 27-year-old man and his vehicle after family members lost contact with him and became concerned.

When police arrived in the Walmart parking lot on Wednesday, they found what appeared to be bullet holes in the door of the fifth-wheel trailer.

Inside, they found the man's body. The initial investigation indicated the man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The investigation is ongoing. The victim's name has not been released.
