Turkey - It's what's for Thanksgiving dinner.

It's traditional, it delicious, but I don't think you have to pick turkey as the main dish. Hell you could go straight to rum as your main dish or choose a different protein. And that's exactly what I did. Here's our Top Ten Turkey Alternatives For Thanksgiving Dinner.

Side Note: My lunch today is a can of soup, which will be quite unappetizing after all this talk of fine cuisine.

    Booze - Drink You Dinner

Last night I watched South Park. In last night's episode they brought something very important to light: all of us are just one can away from white trash. Not just any can of beer, but only PBR. :-) A classic. That's why drinking your dinner comes in at # 10.

We've all experienced Aunt Sally on too much sauce. So if you can't beat em join em. Now if you'd like to keep it somewhat classy, I suggest trying these Thanksgiving inspired cocktails:

    Pizza - But There's A Catch

That's the catch, finding an open pizza place.

Honestly, this one is for those of you (ME) who are cooking a turkey for the first time this year and need a reliable back up.

I love pizza and after calling around to a couple places in the area I couldn't find one pizza place that will be open on Thanksgiving.  Please share if you know of one.

On the other hand, if you absolutely love pizza and you'd like to make your own with a Thanksgiving twist then check out We Are Not Martha.

These chicks took pizza to the next level - Turkey Day style.

    Go Italian - Lasagna

Step One: Remove all evidence of Marie Callender.

Kidding. Make some real good authentic lasagna or whatever tastes good.

My dad tells this story all the time of the best Thanksgiving dinner he ever had at an Italian friend's house. He always goes all drool-tastic on me when he talks about all the courses of pasta and then the main course: a BIG plate of lasagna. He said he was so stuffed but couldn't say no: "That would have been rude."

    Here Are A Few Suggestion:

Rabbit - Just Don't Name It

As long as you don't think about that cute nose or that fluffy tail, you can enjoy a delicious Panko and Mustard Crusted Rabbit like the recipe found HERE.

Now I've never actually eaten rabbit, but I pretty much love everything and will definitely try anything...that said, if you don't like it, that will just leave more room for dessert!
