Josh Allen Excels at Senior Bowl
Former Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen did nothing to hurt his draft stock with his performance in last Saturday’s Reese’s Senior Bowl in Alabama.
After a slow start, Allen finished 9-of-13 for 158 yards and two touchdowns for the North Team. He was named their Most Outstanding Player. He was only 2-5 for 14 yards passing in the first half. In fact, he had more rushing yards with 16 on three carries than yards through the air, but certainly picked it up in the second half. In the end, the South Team beat the North, 45-16, but Allen didn't disappoint.
Both scoring tosses showcased Allen’s touch. His first went to Central Michigan tight end Tyler Conklin.
A short time later, Allen connected with Notre Dame’s Durham Smythe.
Numerous reports say Allen only helped his draft stock after his performance.
Allen will head back to southern California for more training ahead of the NFL Combine. It will take place February 27 through March 5, 2018. Quarterbacks are scheduled for Saturday, March 3.
