The Wyoming Freedom Caucus and Secretary of State Chuck Gray are not happy that several election integrity bills have failed to win introductory votes in the 2026 session of the Wyoming Legislature.

Gray's office released the following statement on Tuesday: “I am extremely disappointed that a small minority of Democrats and insiders have chosen to kill common-sense, conservative election integrity reforms that the people of Wyoming want. Requiring pen and paper ballots, banning ballot harvesting and banning ballot drop boxes, and strengthening Wyoming’s Voter ID statute are key to implementing President Trump’s Election integrity work and specifically President Trump’s election integrity Executive Order Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections.  To see insiders team up with the Democrats to stop these conservative bills backed by the people is deeply troubling and revealing.”

Freedom Caucus: Votes Prove "RINOS' And Dems Are ''Leftists"

Meanwhile, the Wyoming Freedom Caucus posted the following in regard to the failures of House Bill 48, providing for pen and paper ballots, House Bill 49, prohibiting ballot drop boxes, and House Bill 50, which bans ballot harvesting:

"For years, Insiders have treated committee bills as untouchable.
Today, RINOs and Dems teamed up to kill common sense election integrity bills sponsored by the now-conservative Corps Committee. Turns out they never really cared about the bills being committee bills- they're just leftists."
But opponents of the bills say they are essentially solutions in search of problems, saying there is zero evidence of any significant election fraud in Wyoming. Some opponents also consider the bills a waste of valuable time during a 20-day budget session which is supposed to be devoted to budget and funding issues.
