Wyoming’s Odds During A Zombie Apocalypse Are Good
On occasion, you might hear someone commenting on the coming "zombie apocalypse." Americans are obsessed with zombies in books, movies, and TV shows. If such an event were to happen in real life, where would your best chances of survival be?
It turns out that Wyoming is the second-best state to be in in the United States.
Our low population means fewer people to turn into zombies. Our cold winter climate is helpful because, apparently, zombies don't do well in the cold.
We also have plenty of high ground with wide open space for long-range defence.
Wyoming Survival Advantages, ranked.
Low Population Density: Wyoming averages about 6 people per square mile. That's easy pickings. Not much of a chance of a rushing hoard out here.
High Rate of Gun Ownership: Over 60% of households in the Cowboy State possess at least one firearm. But come on. Most people own way more than that.
Freezing Winters: It's easy to behead them when they are lying on the frozen ground, not moving
National Rankings: Estately, a real estate website, once ranked Wyoming second in the nation for zombie preparedness, trailing only Alaska.
Most of Wyoming would see a zombie apocalypse as a good time. This is what so many in the Cowboy State have been waiting and hoping for. Very few Wyomingites would be running scared. This would be open season. Armed people in pickup trucks and jeeps would be racing across the prairie on hunting expeditions.
Colorado is screwed. They have too many people who are already zombified. Just look at downtown Denver today. Plus, they don't like guns. It would be a horde attack that they could not handle.
